These activities relate to business and management engagement among the students. These include: daily business news presentations, management games, role plays, industry interactions, discussions and deliberations to stimulate the mind and orient towards business studies.
Professional bodies are connected with business and management, and in the VUCA environment of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, they act as a bridge to connect with the corporate world. The bodies bring their years of industry expertise to help enhance and build knowledge and skills among aspiring MBA students. Importantly, they act as a catalyst for summer training projects and final placements in industry.
MS-DoMS has been actively associated with professional bodies including: Madras Management Association, Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD), the The National HRD Network (NHRDN) and Society for Human Resource Development (SHRM). MS-DoMS has succeeded in maintaining strong industry linkages through these professional bodies that provide value to MBA students.
These are formed on the basis of specializations, such as Marketing, Finance, HR and Logistics. These clubs stimulate experiential learning, ‘learning by reflection’ on doing. These clubs, initiate, manage and organize guest lectures, field visits and industrial trips in each semester to have a 360-degree orientation in business learning.
The research focus is on undertaking research activities in various MBA specialization streams by students and faculty. The research lab is equipped with the latest software, SPSS & R, etc. these are statistical tools used in business analytics.
